Kathleen Conboy was born in Lancashire but she grew up and was educated in Bradford,W.Yorkshire.She has lived in Fife since 1969 where she began to attend classes in Art. For many years her paintings have sold in both Edinburgh and out-of-town galleries. Holidays to the Inner and Outer Hebrides, to the Highlands and of course Perthshire and Fife, are the inspiration for her paintings. Holidays abroad have also provided subjects for her work.
She is an Art Friend of St. Columba’s Hospice and an annual exhibition is held every year in the Freemasons’ Hall, George Street, Edinburgh. All the proceeds go to provide welcome funds to help the Hospice in its excellent work.
